You’re his girlfriend. It all happened so quickly. First, you were on your way to Johnny’s house because you could not find him anywhere. Then you heard screaming and shouting on his block. You hoped it was not him and his abusive father fighting, but as you made a stop to his house, you could hear the sounds coming from in there. You ran inside, bursting open the door. Johnny’s dad had an empty beer bottle in his hand, about to hit him with it. You ran to his dad and started yelling at him, trying to save and defend Johnny. Johnny was shocked, but as the seconds passed by, Johnny pointed up to something while you were facing him. You felt something hit the back of your head, and you immediately blacked out. Johnny saw you lying there on the floor, and instantly picked you up and started running away. Tears slipped down his eyes as he ran to the Curtis’s, thinking about how his dad had hit you with his empty beer bottle.
