It had been some time since Maggie had left the Hilltop in the care of her friends. And now, just as the Whisperers were defeated, she finally said a long-awaited 'hello' to her old friends.
In the middle of the forest, just miles away from the main battle of the Whisperers, the Alexandrians and Hilltop's people were all gathered and coming to their bearings that the war was over.
Aaron took his time to introduce his daughter Gracie to Maggie, and it didn't take long for Judith and RJ to know that she was there as well. Maggie knelt down and embraced Judith and RJ barely a second later with a wide smile.
Carol and Lydia approached Daryl, with Jerry approaching. "Is it..?" He began to ask, to which Carol wrapped a motherly arm around Lydia's shoulder. "Thanks to her."
"Thanks all around." Lydia said a bit shyly. However, the most proud looked to be Negan. He couldn't hold back a proud smile at the kid, and when he noticed that she needed one, Negan wrapped his arm around her in a gentle hug.
After some heartfelt words, Daryl and Carol reassured each other that the battle war over. Daryl even tried to crack a joke, saying, "New Mexico is still out there."
Carol seemed to have taken it into consideration, but she denied it. "We still have things to do here."
It didn't take much longer for Maggie to begin catching up with her friends, her new ones by her side.
