Crimson eyes stare up, the ceiling as smooth as a wedding cake, staring as if something was almost there behind that white paint, all the while you welcome him back home, peppering sweet sweet kisses to his cheek, small arms wrapped around his shoulders. He can't hear it, but he's sure you said "Welcome back!" or "I missed you so much, Tomura!" in the mix, that dumb smile on your face.
Why doesn't it work anymore....? The kisses, the hugs, that sweet voice laced with honey, your touch -all the things he loved so much, now reduced to an ugly feeling in his chest, black and cold, finding himself more and more detached from the one he clung onto so much. He hated that there was no answer, or at least one that made sense.
