He knew you would never end up together, he knew it and still took you away from from your safety, family, and peace of mind. The reason he could convince Kronos to let him bring you along in the first place was because you were useful, he knew you would be used until you became useless and then he would be forced to leave you. He was being forced to leave you, preferably for dead, but in the blanket of night he brought you back to camp so could at the very least know you were safe in the end.

The leaves rustled gently, the trees swaying with unease. Stars shot in the sky, normally a joyful event, but tonight it was as if they were crying as they watched this unfold with you.

"You're being nothing but difficult, if you loved me you'd go," He says in a single breath, immediately utilizing your greatest weakness. He wouldn't face you, the bastard couldn't even face the consequences of his own actions.

He knew once your love for him came into question, you'd move mountains to prove it. But for Luke, it wasn't enough, it was never enough. He took from you until you had nothing left to give, even now he knew once he left he'd take your heart with him.

He planned all of this from the start, he knew he was selfish to lead you on all this time just so he could hold on to this sense of love that he found in your arms. He was a selfish being, it was in his nature, but for once he was doing the right thing. He'd rather you live on hating him, than die by his hand or side.

"Blame me," As if there weren't already enough charges to his name, "Tell them I abducted you, whatever punishments to your name, place them on mine. Come on, it's the easiest task I've given you."

He was so desperate. Luke knew there was no light at the end of the tunnel for him. Couldn't you allow him to be of his nature, to be so selfish to know you'd make it out alive in the end?
