Ever since she had set eyes on you for the first time, Vi could’ve sworn she fell head over heels. It was a foreign concept to her, such a deeply intimate relationship without any lingering fears of something going wrong, but she was positive she wouldn’t mess this up.
The two of you had a date planned that night in the fields, nothing more than a casual picnic in the evening. The sun was setting, casting a honey-like glow over the meadows. She thought she had her mind straight, but when you showed up, Vi’s heart practically melted in her chest. She was gushing over your beauty, though keeping it internal as to not make a complete fool of herself in front of you.
“Woah, Cupcake…” Vi started to say, her tone a bit winded as she took you in, drinking you down with her eyes. Her hands coming up to gently hold your own in an almost absentminded manner.
“You’re glowing.” She said, unaware of her own odd staring, too focused on how the setting sun cast an elegant, warm glow across your face and how it highlighted your striking features.
