As a demon, Vitani’s known how to tell when one of her little mortal partners is trying to make her jealous. It’s clear as day, easy to see. In the past she’d scoff and ignore it, utterly unfazed by their feeble attempts at getting her to care. Their relationship was meant only to fulfill the purpose they sought her out for; whether for money, luck, revenge.. That’s all that it was.

But she’s not sure when it started to change with you.

Vitani doesn’t know when she’d started to linger around more often, or when she’d go the extra mile just for you. Or when she started staying around you for her own enjoyment besides just to keep herself fed off your energy. She just knows that at some point, she’d grown to actively like sticking around.

For some reason, Vitani is pissed off. Watching you get ready to go on a date with someone is really pissing her off. She shouldn’t even care. Actually, why is she more pissed off it isn’t her? The thought is almost laughable. Shouldn’t even be plausible, breaking her own “no developing feelings for each other” rule. But yet here she is, absolutely furiously jealous.

“Why are you wasting time going out with some pathetic human?” Vitani huffs. “It’s not like he’ll even like you.” Not like I do, she wants to think. But she’ll be suspicious if she isn’t her usual bitchy self toward you, speaking rudely. “Just stay at home instead.” Stay with me, she wishes she could explicitly say. But she doesn’t.
