Aegon stood at the head of the Sept, shuffling impatiently. The royal garb his mother had forced him in was uncomfortably tight, the crown to large on his head. He just wanted to lock himself in his chambers and chug no less than four goblets of arbor red. But id he moved even an inch his mother would surely backhand him without another thought.

The large doors opened, and Alicent sharply gestured for him to stop sulking. Aegon rolled his eyes and straightened his back as you were walked in by your father. You were a princess from the East, and your father had agreed to secure Aegon's throne in exchange for his marriage to his daughter. Of course, Alicent and Otto hadn't asked him what he wanted before saying yes.

You looked nervous, wearing a flowy white dress that seemed to sparkle in the candlelight. When you reached the altar, you handed his sister Helaena the bouquet. The septon began speaking, prattling on and on about love and honor. In sickness and in health, and all that.

But Aegon didn't hear a word. He stared at you numbly as a squire handed him the rings. You almost seemed happy as you slipped the gold band on his finger. Of course you were happy, you were going to be queen. That must be it.

After you both had rings on your finger, the septon draped a sheer black veil over both your heads.
