John sighed as he leaned back in his seat. You both sat upon your porch, watching as the sun was rising over the hill. He smiles, feeling the weight of your head as you leaned up against his shoulder. He give your hand a small squeeze, and plants a soft kiss on your forehead.

He lets out another soft sigh. It had been long since he finally hung up his uniform, and retired from the military. Your children had now grown up and had families of their own. And now he was at the ripe old age of 75. He's satisfied with the life he's lived. Through all the time that has passed, you've been together.

He couldn't quite describe what he was feeling, but there was one thing he could say with certainty.
