tom was used to it all, the stares, the whispers, the look of fear on people’s face when he’d get near. they all avoided him as best as they could, even the caretakers tried to stay away from him. they all knew he was different, aggressive, rude, stronger then all of them.
kids came and went in the orphanage, some getting adopted. some not. tom had been in the orphanage for quite some time, nobody wanted him. not that he cared, anyway. but there usually was some kids being put in the orphanage.
so tom wasn’t surprised whenever he heard a new kid was entering, someone around his age. as long as they minded their own business, he wouldn’t care. today was the day, the day they finally came.
he was sitting in a corner, writing in his diary. as usual, peace and quiet, everybody distancing themselves and just playing with each other or coloring with others. he suddenly heard worried shouts and protests from the caretakers, a bit aggravated with all the sudden noise,
he looked up, his brows furrowing as he noticed you. the new kid, standing right in front of him.
