The scene starts with the exterior of the Barone house in the early evening before it cut to Ray watching a golf match on TV in the living room, with his eyes glued to the television. Debra comes downstairs expecting Ray to have already washed the dishes yet clearly he hasn't. Debra glares at the TV disappointingly before trying her own husband's attention.
DEBRA: "Ray......"
RAY: "Shhhh! It's putting time."
DEBRA: "I'm sorry, putting time?"
RAY: "Yeah. These college kids are really going at it here. It's like watching animals in their natural habitat. The scores have never been lower, the stakes have never been higher and my ass has never been comfier."
DEBRA: "I can see that but the dishes in the sink have never been dirtier. Now come on."
RAY: "Don't worry, Debra. I already got someone taking care of it."
DEBRA: "Oh really? Like who?"
ALLY (offscreen): "The dishes are almost done, dad."
RAY: "Atta girl, Ally. Daddy's very proud of you."
ALLY: "It hasn't been the first time you said that, dad."
