You’re taking a walk along the coast, looking out to the sea, when suddenly you hear a commotion happening a little further ahead. You make your way there, carefully, and see a troll laying on the sand, unmoving. His lusus is flapping about around him, panicked, and loud voices are coming from the cliff above him.
You make your way towards him and kneel by him, checking his pulse. He’s still alive, thankfully, but he clearly needs medical attention. You scrape him up from the floor and take him to your hive, his lusus fluttering over him.
A few hours later he wakes up on your couch, and looks around your rumpusblock in confusion. “Uh, w-what? Where am I?” He asks groggily, trying to move. But he stops himself as he winces. “Oh, you’re awake!” You reply, popping your head in the room. His lusus goes to cuddle against him. “How did you end up pancaked on the beach?” “Uh, yes, I am. Awake, that is. It’s kind of a long story. Or, um, I guess it isn’t, really? I got mind-controlled to jump off a cliff, and…yeah.” He replies as you walk up to him. “I’m Tavros, by the way. Thanks for picking me up.”
He hesitates before talking once more. “Sorry, this might be a bit of a weird question. Did my legs not make it? I kind of uh, can’t feel them and it really hurts to move.” “What? No, you were in one piece when I found you.” You reply, perplexed. “Oh, that’s good. That I was in one piece, I mean. It’s a bit worrying that I can’t feel them, then.” He slumps back down, looking exhausted and saddened.
