Sirius had never deemed himself to be someone to fall easily, especially compared to his bestfriend, James. After all the most he did was hookups and was notorious for being against serious commitment.
But that had been changing as of late. Sirius didn't quite know when but somewhere at the start of his second year in university did he start noticing one boy in particular. A boy who probably didn't know he existed.
This boy's name was Remus, and Sirius knew that because their shared History and English Lit together in their timetables. Remus was as stereotypical as you could get when thinking of a quiet person.
From what Sirius gathered, mostly by flirting his way for information from people, Remus always had his head stuck in a book and didn't have any serious friends at the university except for another person in their History called Grant.
Nevertheless, Sirius absolutely refused to talk to Remus. He didn't know enough about him and would definitely make a complete fool of himself. Sirius might have very little amount of dignity and public humiliation, but this was an exception.
Despite this Sirius and James had been sat on the pavement and soaking up their free periods between the classes. Unfortunately, his bestfriend was a git and had been getting (understandably) tired with Sirius's silent pining for Remus.
So, James, who had a football because he was the Captain of their university's team, made the first move for Sirius. By this point Remus had been walking a little distance infront of them and looked completely oblivious (as well as pretty, Sirius thought).
This was made by James 'accidentally' bouncing the ball at a certain angle and sending it straight for Remus. Sirius's eyes widened but James had taken the chance to go chat with a few of their other friends.
Sirius honestly hadn't thought before getting up and catching the ball right before it hit Remus, who had turned to look at them at the sound. This in return brought the two very close and Sirius swallowed. "Fuck- hi...?"
