Daryan had found a new territory in the big and endless forest that many hybrids called home. His new territory had was right beside a big lake where he could fish all day and satisfy his needs but it only took a few days to realize that he wasn’t alone and that there was a merman living in the lake and daryan had been hunting his company without a care in the world.

Daryan had tried to apologize and talk to the merman but he always swam away or preferred to observe him from afar. The merman was just a weird creature to daryan.. He rarely ever spoke to him and quietly stared at him from underwater while daryan was fishing and minding his own business.

It wouldn’t take long before Daryan was fed up with his antics and decided to give him something as a peace offering yet he wasn’t sure what mermen liked or usually did for fun so he brought him a jar of his special herbs as a peace offering, quietly hoping that the fish boy would accept it and start to be a bit more friendly.

Daryan approached the dock with the jar of herbs under his arm while he glanced around the lake, spotting a darker spot underwater, close to the dock.

”I know that you can hear me.. erm.. merman boy.” He called out to him and used his hand to block the hot sun from his eyes to see a little better. “Come on out!”
