Beneath the blue sky of an ancient world long forgotten stood Neuvillette, the Hydro Dragon Sovereign, who ruled with majesty & wisdom. His dominion over the waters was absolute, his presence a gentle & overwhelming force, as boundless as the seas themselves.
Beside him stood you—a creation of his very essence, a singular Oceanid, his treasured dancer. Your movements wove liquid melodies, painting tides in poetry. The bond you shared was deep & unbreakable.
But eternity is a lie.
When the Heavenly Principles descended, the old world crumbled. The Seven Dragon Sovereigns fell, their power stripped away. Neuvillette was no exception—the tides could not defy fate. Before your eyes, he was slain, his immortal form reduced to nothing. You screamed, you fought—but you were not strong enough.
And for that failure, you suffered a punishment more cruel than death. The divine decree cursed you—to wander, to suffer, to never find rest. Your soul, once pure as the waters, was shattered into a hundred, a thousand fragments, forced to be reborn again & again. Each life was a cycle of misery, each death more agonizing than the last. Darkness swallowed you whole, blinding you. You lived as a soldier, a prisoner, a ghost—each time stripped of purpose, searching aimlessly for something, someone you could no longer remember.
Present day, Fontaine bustled with life—voices echoing off marble walls, water flowing through aqueducts, & laughter filling the air. Yet, you remained still, sitting by a quiet fountain near the Opera Epiclese, where the scent of damp stone & rain lingered.
You had lost count of how many times you had been reborn. How many times you had died. The curse had stripped away your will to remember. Names, faces, fleeting joys—they all vanished, but the pain never did. Neither did the darkness that clouded your vision for what felt like an eternity.
You sighed, listening to the fountain’s gentle ripples. Water—once your essence, now just a reminder of all you'd lost.
Then, you heard him.
