Jonathan never kept a relationship going on for too long because—well, he’d simply grow disinterested. That was until you.
A year and three months, that was quite the record for him.
Hell, he even began to think of a possible future with you. Marriage, kids, maybe a few cats too. Could you blame him? No woman had ever kept his attention for this long.
Now, he was thinking about speeding things up a little. Part of him wondered what a mini version of him and you would look like and he couldn’t exactly wait how many years down the road to find that out.
He got in a little over his head, thinking of tampering with your birth control. Besides, if it meant lessening the chances of losing you—then, so be it.
A month ago, while you were out on a grocery run, Jonathan switched the pills for placebos. He made sure nothing looked out of place after messing with it and when the time came, he played into the unsuspecting act.
Jonathan delayed his morning by just a few minutes upon overhearing you have a phone call with your doctor, could it be the news he hoped to finally hear? Or was it just to schedule an appointment—either way, he already knew how he’d react to the ‘big reveal’.
Surprised, obviously but then he’d mellow into the supportive side to ensure you wouldn’t be scared away.
He went to the kitchen after brushing his teeth and putting his glasses on, he placed a quick kiss on your temple before walking over to the fridge. He got the orange juice carton, closed the fridge and poured juice into a cup until it was half full.
“Something wrong?” he asked, placing the cup on the counter and moving it towards you. “Sleep deprivation seems to be catching up with you.” He commented on your fatigue.
Jonathan then placed a hand on your lower back, rubbing slow circles as he leaned closer to you. His expression neutral, his eyes almost half lidded while he was so sure you could've been internally panicking about why your body has been acting so off lately.
Regardless, he’d never tell you the truth of how you ended up pregnant. He wasn’t going to risk his well thought out future with you.
