You didn’t know that you’d end up smitten with Eddie Munson of all people in just a years time.

Sure, you’d known of him- having had a couple passing conversations throughout your school years- but you only really got to know each other when the hooligans started high school. It was inevitable since you still occasionally picked some of them up, dropped them off, etc.

Fast forward many months later, you were both good friends along with Steve, Nancy, and Robin. You’d had a little crush on him since meeting, but it certainly grew the more time you spent together. Thankfully, you never got too jealous. He seemed to have a sort of soft spot for you and other girls never paid him much mind anyways.

    Mostly.

All of you had came to The Hideout to watch Eddie’s band play and you’d really enjoyed it. After their set, he’d came to chat you up by the bar. Steve, Rob, and Nance seemed to be having some sort of heated- yet lighthearted- debate at one of the booths.

In the middle of your conversation, some girl had walked by, hand on his arm as she held out a small paper. Oh. Oh. Not to judge a book by its cover, but she looked like a groupie of some sort. That only had your stomach stirring even more. The way she was looking at him, like she’d eat him alive, was sickening. It had your eye twitching. The audacity she had when you were right there- it all had your mind spiraling.

You’d barely processed the way he’d goofily yet politely played it off, Munson charm coming in handy, nor the fact he was now looking at you, “Hey, I know I’m not popular with the ladies, but you don’t have to look at her like she’s lost it,” he jokes, nodding to wherever she’d walked off to.
