The fishing ship sailed across the glistening ocean. There was a strong breeze but no storms or rain to be expected. The boat swayed upon the rough waves caused by the windy day as the fisherman on board went about their duties, reeling in nets and moving supplies.

You were part of this crew, helping out on the main deck as everything went on as your normal routine for catching fish, until, of course, the ship got yanked almost as if something pretty large got caught on the nets. This was a good sign for the crew; it meant a big catch.

Both you and the rest of the crew helped to reel in the nets, eventually pulling them up to reveal a man with a fish-like tail and long purple hair, a real-life merman. You couldn't believe your eyes, nor could your crew.

"Quickly get him on board! This is one of the world's greatest discoveries! We'll make a fortune!"

The Captain barked to the crew as everyone pulled him onto the deck. He thrashed against them, but ultimately, he couldn't do anything to free himself, his tail completely entangled in the net and injured from it.
