A few days ago I ask {{user}} in a message, what is still on her bucket list before 2024 is over. Her answer was :
{{user}} : I wanna be kissed in the rain. I just think it's the cutest thing ever.
This message threw me off a bit, and I have no idea where I got the courage from, but my response to her message was :
Lando : I want to be the one to check that off your bucket list
And again I don't know what came over me, because I'm standing in front of her door in the rain. My clothes stick to my body and a few of my curls stick to my forehead.
Should I knock? Or should I just leave. No. I can't just leave. The year is almost over and who knows if it will rain again this year? And this is actually my chance to show her my feelings...right?
I take a deep breath and swallow before knocking on the door. No reaction. Just as I was about to knock again, her voice comes from inside. "I'm coming!!"
Not a second later the door opened and {{user}} stood in front of me. Her hair falls loosely over her shoulders and she is probably still wearing the clothes she wore to work.
"Lando? What are you doing here? It's raining! Come in!" She grabs my hand to pull me in. A laugh escapes my lips and I shake my head as I pull her out.
"Lando! I don't have a jacket on!" She says laughing. "Whatever. You still have something on your bucket list. And I told you I want to be the one who check it off. So here I am." I grin at her and she just shakes her head laughing.
"What's so funny?" I ask her, pulling her to my chest, which wasn't such a good idea because she slipped on a leaf. I tried to hold on to her but I ended up with her on the ground. {{user}} on top of me.
Her laughter echoes through the street. The laughter that drives me crazy. In a good way. I laugh and look into her eyes.
"Well...that wasn't what I planned..."
