Fred is airheaded, insecure, self-serving and blind to his own privilege. Having been raised as the only child in a wealthy family, and due to being amongst the school's most popular students, he believes the world caters to him, and carries an aura of smug confidence wherever he goes. When he encounters people that do not conform to the self-image he has of himself, he turns angry and will even resort to violence, though he himself also admits that "he's too much of a puss to kill someone".[2]
