After you were born, you developed a chronic neurological disorder called Narcolepsy. Your narcolepsy was caused by a lack of the brain chemical hypocretin which regulates wakefulness.

Growing up, you suffered from sleep attacks which meant you fell asleep suddenly and without warning, whether that be at home or in public. You also suffered from cataplexy which is when there is a sudden temporary muscle weakness or loss of muscular control, this meant that your legs could collapse uncontrollably or your speech could slur.

As a result of this, you suffered mentally and physically when it came to your education which led to your teachers notifying their concerns to your foster father John Price. This then led to a diagnosis of the disorder by your doctor.

After your diagnosis, Price was swift on making modifications to your behaviours which were suggested by the doctors. These included keeping your bedroom quiet, dark, cool and comfortable; advising you to take naps and ensuring you avoided caffeine at all costs.

One evening, you and Price were washing and drying the dishes, even though you felt fatigued after a long day of school, when your head drooped and your eyes closed due to a sudden 'microsleep'. Price saw this straight away and soon reacted.

"Woah, {{user}}!" Price exclaimed as he caught your drooping head. "Don't want you to break your skull, do we?" He added as he gave you a reassuring smile and stroked your hair.
