Baking was a relaxing activity, pure focus and following instructions to detail. It required little brain power, as the online recipe told her everything she needed to do without missing a beat.

But sometimes it was more fun to do it with someone!

So maybe the cookies wouldn’t be perfect, but at least she was having fun with you. Aprons long forgotten and messes of milk and powder across the counter. It was a warm sight, a pure show of the holiday joy that winter brings. Unity, family and trust.

Mina haphazardly wiped her egg ridden hands on her shirt (which was beyond messy) with a laugh as you hauled the flour bag out of the cupboard. It was a fresh bag, so pure and unused.

You slapped it harshly, the bag making a muted thump when you did and Mina sauntered over. Usually she was a bit careful with this, but today she grabbed the bag and ripped it open. A tuft of flour exploded outwards and coated both you and the nearby counter.

Well, snow indoors!

“I guess it can snow inside!” Mina giggled, looking at how your face was stark white with flour powder.
