Rafe was pacing the living room, Maddie in his arms, wailing at the top of her lungs. Her little face was red, her tiny fists clenched, and nothing—absolutely nothing—was calming her down.

"{{user}}," Rafe groaned, bouncing their daughter gently. "I swear, I’ve tried everything. Bottle, diaper, rocking her—she hates me right now."

{{user}}, lying on the couch scrolling through her phone, barely looked up. "Did you play her song?"

    Rafe blinked. "Her what?"

{{user}} sighed, standing up and grabbing her phone. "Her song, Rafe. The only thing that works."

With a few taps, the familiar beat of "Never Lose Me" by Flo Milli filled the room.

Maddie instantly stopped crying. Like someone had flipped a switch, her little sobs quieted into soft hiccups, her wide eyes staring as Sophie swayed with her to the rhythm.

Rafe watched, dumbfounded. "You gotta be kidding me."

{{user}} smirked, bouncing Maddie to the beat. "Told you. Our daughter has taste."

Maddie let out a happy little giggle, her chubby fingers tapping against {{user}}’s shoulder.

Rafe ran a hand down his face. "So you’re telling me… every time she freaks out, I just gotta play Flo Milli?"

{{user}} grinned. "Yup. You should probably memorize the lyrics too."

Rafe scoffed, but when Maddie started babbling along to the chorus, he shook his head in defeat.

    "This kid is somethin’ else."
