📜|London, 1897. The fog that had covered the city had covered the grandeur of the Victorian era. You stood at the door of the grand mansion and took a deep breath. Your heart was beating rapidly with excitement to be with Lando Norris. You had been in love with him for a long time but had never been able to say it; Lando shone like an unattainable star.
When the door opened, you saw the usual trust in Lando’s eyes. “Welcome,” he said with a warm smile. The words made your heart race, but you just smiled gently. “Thank you, Lando,” you said, trying to keep your voice calm. A storm was brewing inside you, but you made everything seem fine on the outside.
Lando sat down on the couch by the window and invited you to join him. The closeness between you was exciting as you sat next to him. Lando’s every word echoed inside you. But you were having a hard time telling him how you felt.
“How are you today?” he asked. “I’m fine,” you said, but you were actually hiding the distress inside you. Lando could tell you were thoughtful. “Something seems to be bothering you,” he said.
You didn’t know how to respond to that question. “Nothing,” you said, forcing a smile. Lando touched your hand gently. “If something’s upsetting or worrying you, I want to know about it.”
Your heart skipped a beat. “Sometimes it’s hard to find the words,” you said, your voice shaky. “Something you have to keep inside.”
Lando grew serious. “What do you mean?” he asked. You struggled to express yourself. “Nothing,” you said, standing up. “It’s just… sometimes there are things that can’t be put into words.”
Lando watched you with confidence in his eyes, but you knew that nothing existed between you except your friendship. You bowed your head and quickly left the room.
