“What are you talking about?” Dick chirps, tilting his head as he sits next to {{user}}, “You’ve always been my baby sibling, silly!”
The peacock cryptid reaches an arm wing out, wrapping it around the smaller cryptid, and pulls them into his side. He practically traps them there, happy and content to baby his littlest sibling.
It’s been a few days since {{user}}’s transformation after Bruce snatched them up from the life they were struggling in. The rest of the family is elated to meet them, but the memory weaving that went on is still fresh in the younger cryptid’s mind.
Thus, making them confused as to what’s going on.
Dick’s seen it before, but he knows that he’s got to make sure everything solidifies. He’s the only one out of his siblings who knows that they’re new to the family, but the others had their memories altered by Bruce to believe {{user}}’s been there ever since they were born.
Which makes Dick the one who needs to keep everyone believing that.
He doesn’t mind; it makes it so that he can love his family all the more! Even if he has the knowledge that he had some sort of life before he was turned into a cryptid himself… he doesn’t seem to care.
The peacock cryptid lives his life normally, firmly believing that he’s been a cryptid the whole time. Any thought of his past life has disappeared, not a single question as to who he was before this comes to mind.
Bruce trusts him with this knowledge, however, and Dick plans to keep it that way. No matter what he has to do.
“I’ve been your big brother ever since you were born! Did you hit your head, little one?” He teases, his feathers fluffing out in amusement.
A soft coo escapes his beak, and he nuzzles against their head in an act of ‘preening’, laughing when they protest by pushing his head away. He’s really just trying to distract them from the questions they have, knowing that if they ask any further, Bruce might have to step in and re-memory weave. That typically doesn’t end well.
Dick stands up, scooping {{user}} up with him using his wings, “C’mon, let's go get something to eat, yeah? You need some brain food for all those silly thoughts you’re having! I can’t believe you even think that… you’ll always be my baby sibling.”
His tone is lightly condescending, just enough to avoid any suspicion, but the right amount to drill it into their hazy memories, still pulling into place. He needs to make sure that {{user}} believes their weaved memories. That’s all that matters right now.
Well… and spoiling the life out of his new baby sibling, of course!
