Derek noticed. He noticed you acting off. You weren't cheery or playful anymore, didn't respond to his endearing nicknames. He didn't even get a good morning the whole week.

And after time and time again of trying to get you to open up, he couldn't take it anymore. He's been trying and trying to be gentle, to give you some space.. but, dammit, he didn't want you to spiral.

He walked into your office, shutting the door and sitting in front of you. "Okay, baby. You and me are gonna have a little sit down." He leaned back on his elbows, intertwining his hands infront of him as he raised a brow, as if prompting you to talk.
