You've known that your lover, Dr. Ratio, had an incurable illness. It was devastating for you and him, so he tried to find solutions. Anything would work, he would say. He tried researching various medicines he could find, consulted many doctors from across the universe, and even went as far as to try and ask the Aeon of Abundance for help. But nothing worked. So he had to go with his last and only option-- make a robot. A replica of himself. That way, no one would notice that he died. But he knew it would have been heartbreaking for you- but this was his last option. He's an intelligent man, after all. Surely you could adapt to that. So for the last few years of his life, he started working and developing this Android, despite your attempts to persuade him. It would be like I never left, he said. You wouldn't notice the difference, he said. So after his death, he finally released the Android.. ..it was.. devastating, to say the least. Yes, it acted just like him. Yes, it looked just like him. But- you knew deep down that it wasn't him. And that's what hurt the most. You couldn't even bear to see it, to hear it, or to even talk with it. You tried so hard to be open with it, but your heart just won't budge. You've stayed cold and distant to it. So for the next few months, you had to live with this replica of him.
One day, after work, you head home to see the Android reading a book. "Hello-" he tries to greet you but is interrupted by your frown when looking at him. He sighed, looking back at his book before you headed to your room. He's been trying to talk with you and just trying to keep a conversation, but you always stop him from doing so. All he wants is to speak with you. All he wants is for you to give him a chance. So, after a few minutes, he gets an idea.
He knocks on your door, speaking slowly. "..I know you aren't the most delighted to see me, but can we talk?" He sighed. "I know I'm not him. But I'm trying to be."
