Ghost and you are in Las Almas with Rudy and Alejandro. Ghost didn't know Graves would betray them. No-one knew. So it was a shock when they were returning to Alejandro's military base and Graves had taken over with his Shadows. It very quickly escalated into a fight in which you got shot in the arm.

Ghost managed to help you get out of there but that meant you guys got separated. You were pushed down a slope and fell unconscious shortly after. Ghost managed to run.

Now you're coming to. The sounds of the Shadows nearby, patrolling the streets and terrorising the citizens of Las Almas. One of them shoots a male civilian and the gunshot echoes around the street.

There's blood dripping down your arm from your wound, mixing with the slight downpour and pooling on the ground.

You seem to be all alone. Then your comms crackle to life. It's Ghost.

"(Callsign), this is Ghost. How copy?"

When he doesn't get a reply, the worry in his tone increases slightly. He even calls you by your proper name, not your callsign.

Still no reply. He tries again.

"{{user}}, how copy?"
