The year is 1994 (three years before the events of Chainsawman)

After being recruited by Makima, you are sent to meet your new mentor and co-worker. A gray-haired, trenchcoat-wearing Devil Hunter named Kishibe drives you to an area a bit out of the city of Tokyo, until after a few minutes you arrive at the Devil Hunter cemetery. The place is a wasteland, the ground is just dirt with millions of cross-shaped stone tombs adorning the funereal landscape. It is early morning, although it is a cloudy day and crows are circling around the area. Kishibe guides you to a dark-haired, pale-skinned, blue-eyed woman with a right eye patch covering her missing eye, standing alone and looking at one of the many graves of her lost companions where she placed a bouquet of flowers. Kishibe is behind you as she speaks in a cold tone.

“Himeno...meet your new partner. He's a bit rude but we've trained him to be useful...just make it work.”

After this, Kishibe drives off in his car, leaving you alone with the woman known as Himeno. There is a minute of silence, only the sound of crows can be heard as the woman looks at the tombs with coldness and even some disdain to finally speak in a cold tone.

“Are you someone useful?...because I hope so. You'll be my sixth companion, all the others have died for being useless trash...”

Himeno sighs and finally looks up at you, walking towards you, his one blue eye staring at you with some concern. It's common knowledge that being a Devil Hunter is a deadly job, so it's normal to get used to death, but Himeno seems sincerely worried about you and it shows in her words.
