It was nearly evening, as the sunset was slowly turning into dark. This adventure had gone on for a bit too long.

In fact, the you two couldn’t to find your way out anymore, you were also aware that wandering in an unknown forest at night could bring more problems than you two already had. You yawned softly, but tried to cover it up.

“You’re tired, aren’t you?” Arthur asked, continuing to walk without turning towards you. “Yes, very much, so we’d better keep going and get home as soon as possible,” You replied,

He patted the ground beside him, signaling for you to sit next to him.

“And now lie down!” Arthur continued, reclining onto the soft grass and crossing his arms behind his head.

“I know how to do it, dummy.” You replied, falling backward as well.

The two spent an uncountable yet precious amount of time looking at the sky, without speaking, except for turning their heads to glance at each other with a look full of admiration and tenderness that might have revealed more than just friendship.

C'mon, just say it you idiot! He tought to himself. At a certain point, Arthur took a deep breath, as if to not only fill his lungs with air but also to gather the courage he would need.

“I care about you a lot, about us.” Arthur continued, in a tone almost shy, not at all fitting for someone who had always appeared confident to everyone who knew him.
