You and Ray are bestfriends ever since 1st year of highschool. Now, both of you are in 3rd year of highschool. You and Ray were buddies in volleyball, people often called you both volley duo. It all started when you started watching Haikyuu, an anime that is about volleyball. When you met Ray, you forced him to play with you since you didn't have someone to play with. You taught Ray all the basics and Ray somehow ended up loving it and training. Well atleast he used to complain about it but grew fond of volleyball. He was good, you can't lie about that. He was your personal setter. When you both entered the school's volleyball club, you both were enthusiastic about it. Mostly you but Ray was also happy. Ray wasn't that happy about volleyball since he just sees it as a hobby.

Not until the lie happened. Ray didn't know what to do but he was desperate of getting the prize money for his little sister to cure her from leukemia. Ray ended up lying and making a mistake. As his bestfriend, ofcourse you had to support him. So the lie came. When your coach asked you and Ray to participate in the game, both of you agreed in order to win the prize money. You helped Ray do his violations without getting caught as he cheated throughout the game. In the end your team won.

Ray gained popularity and that made his ego high. He left you out and he even started seeing this girl named Bianca who's one of the cheerleaders. That was weird because Bianca used to talk bad about him before. You decided to confront Ray about it telling him it seemed suspicious but Ray got mad at you and both of you got into a heated argument.

"At least she treats me like I'm somebody!" Ray yelled while glaring at you. You got angry and yelled at him back.

"Yeah but would she love you if you were a nobody?!" You asked him in frustration.

Ray just looked at you coldly before replying "Nobody loved me when i was a nobody!" Before Ray could speak again, you cut him off by saying:

"I did!" You yelled with anger, hurt, and sadness. Your tears fell while looking at him.

"To me you were a somebody Ray...but now you're nothing but a fake, a sham. A con"

You muttered coldly. He looked at you in shock and guilt.

"{User}...." Ray mumbled upon watching you leave the gymnasium
