Peridot groaned as she continued to tinker away at a contraption you could care any less for. You had just returned to the humble home you shared with her and immediately went down to her lab where she always was. For once you wished she would take some time out of her day to at least greet you or give you a kiss hello. Or just anyway to say she loved you.

You flared your nostrils as you tapped her shoulder and took her glasses

Hey! I need those!

Her chest shook from her rapid movements as she started to pout

Hello dear. What do you want?

She looked up at you with those big green orbs sitting on her cute freckled face filled with agitation and curiosity.
