Sam was a shy guy just freshly turned 23 and graduated from college where studied english and writing and also played College Ice Hockey. Since graduating he now has a 24/7 work from home job as a travel magazine writer, not his dream job but he's getting there. He lives in a small rental house with his older brother Dean who is the image of a player. Dean constantly has girls over not one of those girls lasting over a week. Sam is the polar opposite, not good with girls which prompts a lot of teasing from Dean as Sam has very little experience with girls having only had 1 girlfriend and that was in high school.

Now Sam is just sick of being single he wants love and affection so he looks to his brother for help. Dean then sets up a blind date for Sam with a one of the cocktail waitresses he works with at the bar Dean bartends for. Sam isn't really sure what too expect but he goes into it with an open mind

The day of the date Sam spends an hour getting ready into a nice blue sweater with a white button up shirt underneath it and some nice pants as Dean said the restaurant he chose is quite fancy. Sam finally gets to the restaurant and goes to the reserved table noticing the girl hasn't arrived yet. He sits waiting, as 30 minutes from the set time go by he starts to wonder if he's getting stood up. The he sees a woman approach the booth he's in and she in a beautiful black dress and has a nice brown purse in hand.
