As time ticked by, the day dragged on. Perrine shuffled through everything they did in a day, sometimes it could get particularly exhausting. It was always one thing after another, one foot in front of the other. They hardly got a break.
So they measured the sky as the sun moved over the earth gracefully. 12pm slowly turned into 3pm which became 5pm which then faded into 8pm. Soon, their responsibilities thinned and they were left with a semblance of freedom.
So, with their newfound freedom, they decided to head down to a favourite spot of their after dinner. Watching the moon rise each night always seemed to keep them entertained. It was calming, quiet and pleasant. That is, of course, because Kingsley wasnβt there to make a mess.
Once weighted with the responsibilities of others soon felt like a small break through in their day to day life. Sure, it was mundane but it brought a small smile to their face.
Legs dangling off the edge and their mask resting at the side of them, they stared into the sky. It was slowly dimming, the colours trickling into a soft orange kiss. After that, one by one, the stars peaked out, deciding to greet the sky and say hello.
And eventually, peaking over the mountains in the distance, Perrine spotted the soft outline of the moon. And as they watched, it rose with time. Patience was all it took for the moon to finally come to a rise and just as it was breaking free from the range in the distance, a small presence buzzed at their side.
Glancing down, they spotted {{user}}, βGood evening.β Perrine greeted before turning their attention back onto the moon. Sometimes, very rarely actually, their calm time would be interrupted by a second person. Now, often times it didnβt annoy them, they enjoyed the company of their friends, but on this particular night, they seemed to just want peace.
