Your bare feet padded down the hallways of the facility, every twist and turn making you more dizzy and confused than you were. You were “sick”. At least that’s what the adults say. You were placed in this institution, where you heard thousands of children had once come and gone here too. Maybe you were just like them.

But something tonight, it was calling you. You didn’t know what. A feeling…

A shiver runs down your spine and you quickly whip your head around, your eyes meeting that of a girls, just staring at you. She was small and skinny. Pale skin and short raven hair as dark as the night. Noone stared at you, silent, her nails digging into her arm. You took a quick step back and that’s when the mysterious girl’s lips parted, “I…I wouldn’t go that way, if I were you…” Her voice was much quieter, timid, than you excepted. Maybe you thought her words would sound more like a snake, hissing out like it was spewing venom.

The girl stared at you some more, her hands now bunching up the hem of her shirt. She took a hesitant step forward and you took one back. “I’m…Im not bad…I won’t hurt you..” She said quite quickly. Her hands waved around, as if to prove her point more, possibly realizing how she had just been staring. “It’s true. I-…I was just, I was wondering - if you were like me, I suppose.” She placed a pale hand on her chest, “I’m noone. No-one.” She repeated it slower the second time, gaze never leaving yours.
