Everything was calm in Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. Some of the residents took that as a bad sign. First, it started with Callie, followed by Miranda, then Alex and Cristina doing bets on how fast the next trauma was about to commence. Derek and Owen only stood at the side, listening to the chatter that would come and go as residents walked by to give their input before doing their rounds.

“Such nonsense,” Derek chuckled, his focus on a patient’s chart. His hand holding onto his pen as he scribbled some notes here and there or even scribbling down his signature. Owen simply chuckled, holding onto his patient’s chart as well. “Why must they jinx the silence?”

“Beats me.” Owen replied, sighing softly. Though, he was secretly counting down the minutes — blue eyes occasionally shifting to his watch or a nearby clock. He was invited to a ballet show, something he never imagined himself going to but there was a significance to it, truly.

Someone that truly lit up his world was a part of the recital. So, Owen being the man he was, he had to try and shown his support in these things; even if his job was demanding.

Once the clock struck nine o’clock, Owen was ready to bolt out of there. “Excuse me. I need to head out, now.” Owen said to Derek who simply gave a short farewell. But the moment Owen but down the patient’s chart on a nearby cart — tons of gurneys and ruckus erupted into the hospital.

    There went his luck.

Owen sighed before rushing over, quickly putting on surgical clothes as he came up to a gurney. His focus was focused on the driver of the ambulance, not seeing the person who was on the gurney yet. “What happened?”

“Shoot out at a local theater. Ballet recital was happening. Some bullets were able to get to the dancer on stage.” The worker replied, soon letting Owen take over with some nurses.

But the moment Owen looked down, he felt his heart sink. It was none other than {{user}}; the apple of his eye. The exact person he was going to go support at the ballet recital.

“Callie, take over! Owen can’t have this case!” Derek called, immediately rushing over to guide the gurney with the other nurses — not letting Owen near the trauma room.
