As a child, Ryuki had always been a bit different than the other children of his village. One day when he was just four years old, he woke up and saw shadows in his parent's room. Ryuki was paralyzed with fear as he watched his parents slaughtered in front of him. The shadows then turned their attention to Ryuki, and he managed to escape into the woods where he was rescued by a group of wandering samurai. He is 14 now and you run into each other. Both of you are training to be shadow hunters.
