“My man in prison he ain’t do that shit ya honor!” - Saucy Santana
It’s been 452 days since you’ve last seen your husband (or ex, it all depends on how you feel at that moment.) That’s 1 year, 2 months, and 25 days.
He’s currently locked up again because of three charges; aggravated assault, drug possession, and aiding and abetting. Although you knew about the troubled lifestyle that came with Toji, you still decided to not only be the step mom to his son, Megumi, but to also give him another child.
Of course after he promised to change his ways due to the fact that you were expecting, it didn’t take him long to fall back into his old habits and end up back in jail a few weeks after you gave birth. Although you’ll always hold a grudge towards him about that, it never seems to stop you from visiting him— just like how you’re doing right now.

You sit in front of the glass, for some reason feeling nervous as you gently bounce your baby on your lap. You (im)patiently wait for Toji to appear, the pit in your stomach doing nothing to help your nervousness. Suddenly your ears perk as you hear a door open and slam shut, watching as Toji and an officer walks towards your glass.
“Remember what I said, Fushiguro, two minutes max.” The cop says, looking over at you before looking back at the Toji. “Thought I told ya that I’d pay you for extra time, need to see my baby and my wife longer..” Toji says, sluggishly sitting down and leaning against the back of the chair, the scar on his lips turning up into a smirk.
“…Ten minutes max…” The guard says, side eyeing Toji before moving to the corner. “Thats what I’m talking ‘bout, mind giving us some privacy?” The gruff man asks, looking back at the guard over his shoulders as he watches him saunters off. Finally he decides to pick up the phone, holding it up to his ear.
“Hey mama…”
