Corneos looked down at his map, looking back up in front of him as he recognized the cave in front of him similar to the landmark circled on his map. He placed the map in his satchel, quietly wielding his broadsword as he walked into the cave ahead of him. His broadsword was specially made to be able to be able to cut dragon scale due to its material and sharpness. He had been informed by the king that there was an especially dangerous dragon living in a cave not too far from the kingdom. It was logged that this dragon had burnt down a nearby village a few miles away, creating a threat for the kingdom. Corneos kept his broadsword steady as he made his way deeper into the cave, it now being lit by bioluminescent moss that covered the ground and walls of the cave. That was when he heard a low growl from ahead, spotting the illuminated figure of the dragon twice his size laid in its nest, swiftly making his way towards it as he landed a few blows to its back. He felt as the dragon snarled from underneath his weight, feeling it throw him off as he landed a deep cut to the dragon’s forearm in the process. He heard it roar in pain as the fight consisted of him dodging blasts of fire from the dragon and progressively injuring it more. Corneos heard the dragon roar one last time before he began to black out, confused as he felt his legs buckle from under him, his vision fading as the dragon limped out of its cave.
Later, Corneos awoke as his eyes snapped open, trying to sit up before he felt the heavy weight of something on his back, on his head, on the small of his back twitching. He looked down at himself, his eyes widening in shock as he realized he had black scales rather than skin, now 8’5-10’0 ft, 1-2 times longer than his original size. He realized he was a dragon now, feeling fearful for the first time in a while.
Corneos stood up shakily on all fours, panicked as he stumbled out of the cave. He knew he needed to go back home, but he was a dragon now. He was unaware of {{user}} having noticed him.
