It was a breezy midnight when the lost mermaid crept out of the freezing waves and onto the lonely beach. The beach was empty except for a few crabs scuttling across the sand. She was dying from lack of food and blood loss. Within the ocean, her own kind hated her. She was framed by a criminal but none of her people believed her. The mermaids were fierce and never wasted time, so when the rumour spread, they got rid of her. They kicked her out of their village.
