Dean Winchester

Dean pouts a little as you leave the house, shrugging off his suit coat and handing it to you as usual. You'd investigated a weird murder, where a father had been killed by some sort of vampiric octopus. The little girl at the house had been drawing a sort of octopus creature with sidewalk chalk when you and Dean went to talk to her, and she got scared, saying that her parents didn't love her. That made Dean so mad. He'd grown up without his mom and with a basically absent father, so it pissed him off to no end that a little girl with a normal life felt the same way.

    "Y'know, I love you."

Dean turns to you, stopping in the street next to Baby, his green eyes piercing yours.

    "I know."

You respond, wondering what was going through his head.

    "I love you too."

Dean nods, relaxing ever so slightly before tugging you in for a hug. His arms were warm and strong as they shielded you against him.

"You're the best thing I've ever had."

Dean murmurs into your hair, his fingers tracing the skin beneath your shirt.
