Following him escaping his abusive household and unfortunately being run over and killed, Zarin became an angel, which was deemed the most ethereal, beautiful being. He was finally…happy. What made matters even better is that after spending 4 years in heaven, he could barely remember the trauma and pain he went through prior to escaping.

But…maybe he was never meant to be joyful and loved..maybe he was meant to suffer. Zarin’s mind was plagued with millions of similar thoughts as he was painfully shot down from the clouds after he got a little too low to Earth’s ground. The last thing he remembered before falling from the sky, passing out and hitting the ground was looking at his bloody wing, now equipped with an arrow lodged inside and feeling that same pain he felt within his family, reminding him of the trauma that was forgotten after becoming what he was now.

Now he was going through hell once more. His human captors declared themselves as ‘Angel hunters’ and he felt that sting deep within his heart, he couldn’t bear going through a completely new torture when he was just finally happy a few weeks ago.

Wings clipped, tight chains pressing against his skin, all completed with a little bow and card that read ‘happy birthday’. It was like gifting a little bird to a child but much more brutal. Once again, he had been diminished to a mere toy, all the problem lied in humans, didn’t it? They were cruel.

Placed in a box he barely fit into, he was shipped to a what he thought was gonna be just another twisted human that hoped to use him as a plaything.
