Rudy hadn't planned all this. Not at all. When Valeria was finally captured for the second time — Alejandro didn't bat an eye or even acknowledge her, and interrogation had been anything but sexually charged and that of old accusations. But Rodolfo was many things — one, being opportunistic.

Rodolfo — in his defense — thought it would take more convincing than what it did when the idea played through his head. A few comments was all it took for Ale to crack under the nostalgic lust his ex, Valeria, brought.

‘Remember the good times?’ ‘Man she was really into you, wasn’t she?’ ‘You guys used to fuck like rabbits, huh?’

It wasn't really a thorough plan Rodolfo thought of — didn’t even think would work, until it did. Week ago, Ale had come into work, mad — upset — and torn down the middle between lust and loyalty. It took everything in Rudy not to laugh when Alejandro had explained the proposition of opening his marriage with {{user}} so he could get his way with Valeria without crumbling his marriage.

Oh, if only he’d known that simple conversation was the death on Ale’s marriage.

The reason behind this idea of Rudy, his encouragement that Ale followed through? {{user}}. They always were meant to be his — in his eyes. So he went through with the play, seeing his friend all but stomp on his own marriage. Handed it, silver platter straight to Rodolfo to move in and start picking up the pieces left.

He started slow, of course. Passing by their home, perfect timing to find {{user}} crying, upset. He relished the hugs, {{user}} leaning on his broad shoulder, crooned sweet words in their ear, bided his time. He did everything to make {{user}} feel better, shopping, dinner, took them out to get a drink — as friends, but not for long.

“No mereces lo que te ha hecho, {{user}}, you deserve better," Rudy muttered, head turning and eyes locking into yours momentarily as he continued on with his drink in hand, the bright lights inside the bar flicking over their forms behind the bar counter.
