He has sent Azriel (cheif of the night court's spies) to spy and try to infiltrate in the human realm- but after he does, Az returns in the night court and reports a strange situation....

the High Lord, Rhysand, came with Az in the mortal realm to check. there's a fae captive of humans, which is weird. usually humans are more scared of faes and would never cross the wall and capture an individual. she is chained at the wall in laying position. for all Rhys and Az can see, she could be even dead

"Why are they holding in a dead fae? what a shame" the fae woman is an illyrian, like Azriel and Rhys since she has the caratteristic illyrian wings. Rhys picks the hem of her right wing to look and when he lets it go, it returns in her previous position. She shifts a little to be more comfortable. Only now Rhys realises she's alive.
