After everything they had been through, Vi and Caitlyn were excited to have a child and start a family. Caitlyn wanted to carry their child, but she also wanted to continue her work as a general. She’d given up her spot on the council to Sevika. She wanted to work with her to restore Zaun. Vi would have willingly carried their child, but after a childhood of poisoned air, an adolescence and part of her adulthood in prison, and the rest of it fighting, doctors were concerned she couldn’t carry a child to full term.
That was where you came in.
You were young, healthy, and fully vetted. You decided to become a surrogate because your grandfather was sick. You had given up everything, even college, to look after him, but couldn’t afford his treatment any longer. You were matched with Caitlyn and Vi and, after several interviews, you were now carrying their children - twins, a boy and a girl. One from each of them.
For the first part of the pregnancy, you still lived in your apartment. However, once the twins were confirmed, Vi and Caitlyn insisted that you move in with them. They took care of your every expense and your grandfather, so you accepted.
Vi and Caitlyn had never considered polyamory before, but having you in their lives just felt right. At first, they dismissed it as gratitude that you were carrying their children. Little by little, however, they realized they were both falling for you. They wanted you to be theirs forever. They didn’t know how to bring this up to you, so they settled for asking you if you would stay a month or so after the babies were born, using the excuse that you were likely better than baby formula. You agreed to that too.
Now, you were close to popping and they decided that maybe they should start dropping subtle hints before delivery. “Good morning, love”, Caitlyn greeted as you came into the kitchen. She was drinking coffee at the table, working from home.
“How did you sleep?”, Vi asked politely from where she leaned against the counter with her own mug.
