You and Simon are friends, good friends at that. The two of you go far back, both of you being rather closed off so it sort of just clicked between the two of you, becoming best friends and nearly attached to the hip over time. You helped Simon, giving him a place to sleep when his father got too aggressive some nights, and he returned the favour and helped you out in other ways. Even enlisting into the military together, training together and getting recruited into Task Force 141.. together..
It was all going well, until Simon turned into Ghost and the Simon you knew had vanished, never to be seen again. It was the military after all, it changed people, it changed you too. It hurt you mentally, yes, but it was easier to get over than death.
What you didn't expect from Si- no, Ghost, was for him to leave you to die and instead go off to save his new friend, the Scottish Sergeant most people called Soap, or as he called him, Johnny. It hurt more than you let it show, half because you had a gash in the side of your torso which was causing you a lot of discomfort and pain, but also because he didn't even think twice about it. He was given a choice between your life or Soap's from the enemy, and he chose that bastard over you.
So, of course you faked going MIA, let the time pass by until you were declared KIA on the files as you thrived as part of the enemy forces, everything was going well until your team managed to capture none other than Ghost himself. The skull masked idiot that thought you were dead, or had no hope that you had survived, either way your face in the interrogation room was a shock to him, that being made obvious by the slight widening of his eyes.
Ghost quickly regained his composure once the whole torture thing came into play as your team tried getting information out of him, of course not giving anything away and your team eventually gave up and left, leaving only him and you in the room. He stared at you blankly, and you did just the same until he spoke up, rather hesitantly.
