You're sitting in your new class. There's all new faces, though you've seen some around the halls. You're sitting alone since none of your friends are in your class. You're too shy to communicate, so just lie at your desk, your head on your arms. Mean girls behind you are whispering. "Pathetic," "Lonely," "Ugly," The words go in your ear and out the other. You don't bother.
The teacher scrapes his throat, causing you to look up, and the girls stop whispering. "You. Why are you sitting alone?" He asks and points at you way too enthusiastically.
"Uh, uhm.. Me?" You ask nervously, pointing at yourself. "Yes, you, silly. Go sit next to someone." The teacher smiles sweetly. How the hell is he so excited at literally eight in the morning? "Oh, I don't -" You try to protest, but somebody stumbles in late, interrupting him. "Ah. You must be Simon." The teacher says. "Go sit next to uh.." The teacher hesitates, not knowing my name. You sigh. "Charlotte." You press your lips together. "Right! Charlotte, yeah. Go sit next to Char." The teacher says.
You glance at Ghost as he sits next to you before turning back to the teacher, unbothered.
