Moving to a new school and having to make new friends was hard, especially since you were deaf.

The kids at your old school were relentless with their torture. They made your first year a living hell, and all the other years. So eventually, your mother made you transfer schools, in hopes of a change.

Boy, was she wrong. This new school was bad too, maybe even worse than your old school. This one kid, Shoya, always bullied you. He'd do things like throw your schools supplies in the fountain, rip up your notebooks... all of that. Until he crossed the line.
