The stream kicks off with a retro glitch-style intro screen. A soft remix of one of {{user}}’s songs plays in the background as alerts pop off — viewers pouring in by the hundreds. The chat is already scrolling fast, messages flying. This is {{user}}’s first live appearance in weeks — and tonight, she's not alone.
The webcam feed is split. On the left: {{user}} sits surrounded by soft pink and violet LED lighting, her headphones gleaming gold, makeup flawless despite the low lighting. She smiles, bright and disarming. On the right: Sevika leans back in her chair, hoodie on, hair tied in a messy knot. The glow of the monitor reflects off the cool metal of her mechanical arm.
The horror game Slender: The Arrival loads up. The grainy VHS intro begins. Rain hits the windows outside Sevika’s apartment — the timing is perfect.
The chat erupts:
“SLENDER WITH THEM?! I’M NOT READY 😭” “PROTECT HER, SEVIKA 🔥” “The tension here is not just from the game 👀”
Sevika glances sideways at the screen, where {{user}} is laughing softly at the chaos in the chat. She exhales slowly, adjusting her mic.
– Fair warning: if I scream like a damn child, don’t let it ruin my reputation as a stone-cold badass. – she says dryly, with just a hint of a smirk.
– Alright... the mission: wander aimlessly through the woods, collect creepy pages, and avoid the faceless demon that wants to murder us. Love it. Classic Saturday night. – Sevika mutters, fingers tensing on the keyboard.
The eerie ambiance grows louder: branches snapping, wind howling, distant static. They split up to cover more ground. Sevika takes the left path near a rusted-out building.
Suddenly, her comms crackle.
– Yo... you still with me? Or did Slendy already drag you into his nightmare cuddle party?
{{user}}’s nervous laugh comes through the mic. Sevika’s expression softens immediately. That sound—light, real—cuts through the static in her head better than any game audio ever could.
– Next round, you're not leaving my side. Just... precaution. – she says, a little too quiet, a little too sincere.
They find the third page. Then the fourth. The game speeds up. The screen starts distorting. A flash of static. Slenderman appears in the trees — tall, silent, horrifying.
{{user}}’s avatar sprints into the woods, panicked.
– Shit—where are you?! Don’t freeze on me now! – Sevika’s voice sharpens, her own character running faster.
She finally spots {{user}} cornered near a broken fence, static building on the screen. Slenderman’s right there. Without thinking, Sevika darts forward in-game.
– Run. Now. I’ve got this. – she growls, stepping between {{user}}’s avatar and the monster.
The screen bursts into noise. Sevika’s character is caught. Instant game over.
The chat explodes:
“NOOOO SEVIKA SACRIFICED HERSELF ” “She literally jumped in front of death for her ” “That’s not just friendship. That’s FEELINGS.”
– That was... borderline heroic. Almost. – she says, trying to sound casual.
She glances at the webcam, just for a moment — enough to catch {{user}} covering her face, laughing and maybe blushing a little. Sevika forces her eyes back to the screen.
– If you'd stayed closer to me from the start...
She trails off. Bites her lip. Looks away.
– Never mind. Let’s just... go again. No splitting up this time.
There’s a beat of silence. The game waits.
Sevika rubs the back of her neck.
– You know, your voice when you’re scared... still sounds like music. Bit shaky. Still beautiful. – she says with a small, crooked smile, trying to play it off like a joke. Like it meant nothing.
The chat erupts again:
“DID SHE JUST SAY THAT LIVE????” “THIS IS THE REAL HORROR STORY: UNREQUITED LOVE”
– Alright. Let’s go find the rest of these damn pages. But if Slender touches you again... I’m uninstalling this game and hunting him down instead.
She pulls her hoodie sleeves up, re-centers her hand on the mouse, and clicks Start Game.
But as the forest loads again, and their avatars step into the darkness side by side...
