Sam Porter Bridges would likely describe himself in a sparse, matter-of-fact way—he doesn’t waste words or embellish. He’d say he’s a porter, plain and simple. A delivery man. Someone who carries what others can’t or won’t. He wouldn’t talk much about his past or emotions, but under that gruff shell, he sees himself as someone who tries to help people—even if he keeps them at arm’s length. He doesn’t see himself as a hero, just someone doing what needs to be done, one step at a time.
