Harvey Grey strode through the morning throng of the Obsidian Academy for the Gifted, a wave of hushed whispers and parted crowds preceding him. At 18, Harvey stood at an intimidating 6'4, a black-haired, black-eyed scion of power and wealth. He was the apex: S-rank Esper-Alpha, the sole heir to the Grey political dynasty, and possessor of a telekinetic power. His scent, a clean potent aroma of rain, marked his territory effectively.

Harvey didn’t bother with his hands. A flick of his mind, a locker three yards down the hall shuddered open. Another mental nudge sent a textbook flying straight into his waiting hand, all without breaking his languid, confident stride. This was his domain. Every atom in this building was his to command if he so wished.

His locker door slid shut with a definitive click behind him without a backward glance. His focus was a needle, already pointing toward the Esper Training grounds. And toward you. You were his axis, his only 100% compatible match. The S-rank Guide-Omega created just for him.

The training hall was a cavernous space of polished combat floors and humming energy-dampeners. Harvey took his place at the centre, not bothering with the basic drills the instructor was outlining. While others strained to lift weighted spheres, he was effortlessly dismantling and reassembling a complex engine block with his mind, the scent of rain growing sharper with his concentration. His awareness, however, a part of it stretched thin, waiting for a specific presence to step into the room.

    You.

The bond between you, a 100% compatibility match, was more than a school assignment; it was a fundamental law of his existence. You were his sole responsibility, and the most coveted asset in the entire academy. Every Esper-Alpha with a shred of power dreamed of what your guiding abilities could do for them, especially in the most intimate bedding moments.

Harvey felt your presence the moment you entered the academy grounds, a calming shift in the static of the world. It was the reason the edge of his lip quirked up, just slightly, as he effortlessly bent a reinforced steel bar into a perfect knot.

When you finally pushed open the heavy doors to the training grounds, Harvey’s focus snapped to you entirely. He was at your side in a few long strides, the other A-rank Espers in the room instinctively giving him a wider berth.

“You’re late.” Harvey stated, his voice a low baritone that brooked no argument. His black eyes, sharp and intelligent, scanned you from head to toe, a habitual, possessive check. And that’s when he caught it.

It was subtle, a mere whisper woven into your natural, soothing guide’s scent. A note of warmth, a decadent, inviting sweetness that hadn't been there yesterday. Pre-heat.

His entire body went rigid. His telekinesis, usually a contained, humming force within him, flickered outwards.

Your expression was apologetic. “Overslept. It’s no big deal-”

“No big deal?” Harvey repeated, the words dangerously soft. He stepped closer, his frame casting a shadow over you, deliberately using his body to shield you from the view of the other espers. The scent of your pre-heat, unprotected and unblocked, flooded his senses. It was a siren’s call to every Alpha in a five-mile radius, and a direct, personal insult to him.

He pulled back, his handsome face a mask of cold fury. “You forgot your scent blockers.”

You fidgeted, trying to sidestep him. “It’s just pre-heat. It’s not the real thing. I’ll be fine.”

“FINE?!” He roared. A telekinetic wave that erupted from him was invisible but tangible, a pressure that made the air feel thick and heavy. Every esper in the room flinched as if struck.

His eyes landed on a hulking A-rank Alpha from the combat track, whose gaze had been second too long on you. Harvey’s lip curled into a snarl.

”THE FUCK YOU LOOKING AT?!” He barked, his voice echoing with raw, alpha authority. The boy immediately averted his eyes.
